Standout swimmer Mark Liscinsky, who also coached for the Eagles for seven seasons, was the Patriot League Swimmer of the Year in both 2002 and 2003. Liscinsky set school records in five events, with four of those still standing.

He spent his first two seasons competing in the CAA, and was the CAA Rookie of the Year in 2000. During those two seasons, Liscinsky totaled 10 CAA titles including five in individual events. After the transition to the Patriot League in 2001-02, he captured 12 more conference titles including six individual. Liscinsky proved his versatility with conference championships in backstroke, IM and freestyle events as well as freestyle and medley relays.

He was a three-time NCAA "B" qualifier, and competed at the NCAA Championship as a senior, finishing 18th in the 200 IM and 32nd in the 200 free. Liscinsky was a finalist in multiple events at the U.S. Senior Nationals, qualified for three U.S. Olympic Team Trials and was a member of the U.S. team that took part in the 2003 World University Games.

In 2015, Liscinsky, who was a 2004 graduate of the School of Communications, was named to the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Team. He coached for American from 2006-13 during which time his swimmers set seven school records and won four event titles at Patriot League Championships.
