Highly decorated in her four years as a standout on the women's basketball team, Lisa Strack was a three-time All-Patriot League selection who earned the highest honor of Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior in 2012. As team MVP and an All-Patriot League First Team selection, Strack finished her career with 1,059 points and exactly 500 rebounds, with those stats currently ranking 19th and 20th in program history.  She earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors as a junior, PL All-Tournament Team selection as a sophomore, and PL All-Rookie Team recognition as a freshman in 2009.

She was adept at taking away the ball from opponents, with her 82 steals in her senior season ranking sixth all-time. Strack played in 121 games as an Eagle, which still ranks ninth all-time.

The department named her the Outstanding Female Senior Student-Athlete in 2012, the highest end-of-the-year honor given by American University Athletics.

Strack stayed in the sport for many years after graduation, spending eight years on the women's basketball staff at Virginia Tech before assistant coaching stints at both Army and Loyola Maryland. She currently serves as the business manager for sports & entertainment marketing at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
