Originally from Burke, Virginia, Liz Pike was a high scoring forward for American University’s women’s soccer team from 1990-1993. She still holds the career record for goals with 66, exactly twice as many as second-place in the rankings. Pike also registered 23 assists in her career, and her 155 all-time points rank first in program history, 70 more than second place.

In addition to her career records, Pike accumulated the most single-season goals with 21 in the 1990 season, which amazingly was her freshman campaign. She owns four of the top six single-season scoring records in program history. Pike also recorded the top three single-season point totals, including a program-record 49 in that 1990 campaign, leading American to an 11-3-1 record in its inaugural season. Following the 1992 season, Pike was selected as a regional All-American.

Pike is currently the head women’s soccer coach at Shenandoah University, a Division III program in Winchester, Va. In 2011, the Hornets finished with a 15-7-1 record, setting a new program record for most single-season victories and winning a USA South Conference title. In 2016, Pike earned her 100th career coaching victory with the Hornets.

Pike received her bachelor's degree from the School of Communication in 1994.
