As a true standout both in the pool and in the classroom, swimmer Frank Byskov captured 13 conference titles and four Academic All-American honors. Competing in the former Colonial Athletic Association, Byskov won eight individual titles and five relays with the Eagles in his career that spanned from 1998 to 2001. Among his three titles in the 200 freestyle, he set a conference meet record in one of them.

Byskov was a part of three school records in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays. He was a two-time CAA Swimmer of the Year, a two-time AU Swimmer of the Year, AU Rookie of the Year in 1998 and the Outstanding Meet Performer at the CAA Championships as a junior in 2000. Byskov's name still appears on AU's all-time Top 16 list in seven individual events as well as 11 times on relay lists.

Following his competitive career, Byskov coached for the Eagles for two seasons in addition to earning a master's degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
