BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The weekend's goal-scoring duo of Jordan Reicher and Agustina Roffo of the American University field hockey team have earned conference recognition for their game play against Boston U. and Providence. Reicher was named Offensive Player of the Week and Roffo was tabbed Midfielder of the Week.
 
Reicher scored two goals across the weekend, once against BU–tallying the game winner–and again against Providence to keep the Eagles in the game, tying it at 1-all at the end of the third period and ultimately forcing overtime. Against Boston, all three of Reicher's shots were on goal, and against Providence her lone shot made the difference on the scoreline. Intangibly, Reicher demonstrated remarkable pressing all weekend, was a force on the ball for both opposing teams to try and close down.
 
For Roffo, it was also two goals in two games. The graduate student scored the game-winning double overtime goal against Providence on a solo effort that started around midfield on a pass from Reicher. She made both of her shots count this weekend as the lone shot against Boston earned a goal, and the only shot she took against Providence was the game winner. Her effort on the wings proved vital to AU's offense with both her running and passing.
 
On Saturday, September 27, the Eagles will face off with Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. for what will be their second Patriot League battle of the season. Push back is scheduled for 12 p.m.
