Archer Selected to Great Britain’s Roster for the 2025 FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket Tournament

WASHINGTON – Elizabeth Archer, sophomore on the American University women's basketball team, has been named to the British Basketball Federation's final roster for the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket Division B Tournament to be held in Miskolc, Hungary.

"I'm grateful for Coach Sarah and the Great Britain program for welcoming me on the U20 national team. I'm also very thankful to Coach Killion and my team at American University for supporting me and allowing me the flexibility to pursue this opportunity," said Archer about the experience so far. "I feel honored to represent both AU and Great Britain! Playing for GB basketball has allowed me to meet amazing new teammates and travel to new places across the world. We have traveled to Croatia and Slovenia for prep games, and we are finishing our season in Hungary where the Euros will be hosted. Be sure to tune in when the tournament starts on August 2nd!"

Archer, the 6'2 guard, forward flex from Chatham, New Jersey, finished the 2024-25 season with 74 points, 45 rebounds, and recorded a career high of 17 points at Boston U. when she went 3-of-5 from deep and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

The tournament will run August 2-10, and Great Britain starts its campaign in the group stages in Group B, along with Ukraine and Ireland. The squad will face Ukraine first, on August 2 and then take on Ireland on Aug. 4.
