WASHINGTON –– A quartet of Eagles from the American University women's basketball team was placed on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Sophomores
Molly Driscoll and
Elizabeth Archer, junior
Lexi Salazar, and senior
Anna Rescifina are the four Eagles honored to the team.
To be eligible for CCS Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above, and a starter or significant reserve.
As a freshman, Driscoll earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25, and currently, in her second year, she carries a 3.84 cumulative GPA while studying business administration. On the court, Driscoll has been an integral part of the Eagles' offense all season, starting in all 30 games and playing a team-leading average of 33 minutes per game. She averaged 11.6 points per game, led the team with 35 steals, and sank a team-leading 46 three pointers.
With a cumulative 3.96 GPA while studying for a degree in economics, Archer played in all 30 games this season, starting nine of them. The sophomore averaged 11.8 minutes per game and averaged 2.5 points and rebounds per game. She was also a 2024 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection.
Salazar, one of the squad's point guards, led the team in assists with 73. The junior played in 29 games, starting in 19 of them, and averaged 3.4 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game. A 2024 and 2025 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection, Salazar carries a cumulative 3.72 while studying for a Bachelor of Science in health promotion.
Second on the team in rebounding with an average of 3.6 per game, Rescifina anchored the defense for the Eagles.The senior averaged 27.4 minutes per game and led the squad in efficiency, shooting .429 percent from the floor overall. Rescifina, a 2023, 2024, and 2025 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member with a cumulative GPA of 3.73, will graduate this spring with a degree in finance.
