WASHINGTON –– Paige Corkins has been promoted to Associate Head Coach of American University women's basketball, announced by head coach Kelly Killion on Wednesday. Corkins finished her first season with the program in 2025-26 and has eight years of coaching experience under her belt.
 
"Paige undoubtedly deserves to step into the role of Associate Head Coach," said Killion. "Her unwavering dedication to elevating our program every day has been invaluable. She is a true connector who has built meaningful relationships with our players, recruits and campus partners, helping strengthen every aspect of our program. I am incredibly excited about the future of American Women's Basketball, and I am confident Paige will continue to raise the standard and help lead our program to even greater heights in this new role."
 
Corkins joined Coach Killion's staff at American in June of 2025, and during her first season at AU, saw the progression and success of players across the floor. Corkins coached sophomores Molly Driscoll and Madisyn Moore-Nicholson who each saw immense growth during the 2025-26 season. Driscoll led the squad in minutes played and collectively along with Charlotte Tuhy (12.0 ppg), Driscoll (11.6 ppg) and Moore-Nicholson (10.6 ppg) were the only three Eagles to close out the season averaging in double-digit scoring position.
 
Driscoll was named to both the CSC Academic All-District Team and the Academic All-Patriot League team at the conclusion of the season. Corkins also saw Tuhy earn a place in the national spotlight for rebounding. Tuhy was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team and the All-Rookie team as well and finished the season averaging a double-double (12.0 ppg, 11.3 rpg).

Over my time here, this program and community have become family. I am incredibly grateful to Kelly for her leadership and to our players for their unwavering dedication every single day. We have big goals ahead and we are ready to get back to work."
