Indoor Track Set to Compete at Patriot League Championships This Weekend

WASHINGTON – Indoor track will kick off the postseason at the Patriot League indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be hosted by Boston University on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28-Mar. 1).

The meet will begin at 2:32 p.m. on Saturday with the men's mile prelims. All events ranging from the 60 meters to the mile have semifinal rounds on Saturday and final rounds on Sunday. The 5k and 4x800 relay will take place on Saturday, while the 3k, distance medley relay, and 4x400 relay will take place on Sunday.

The team has set program records in three events so far this season, while establishing AU top-10 times in more than a dozen events. Senior Kaden Kluth has set records in both the mile and 1k, ranking in the Patriot League top five in the mile, 1k, and 3k. Senior Carver Morgan, the reigning PL 800 champion, has broken AU's indoor 800 record three times in as many races, standing at third in the league in the 800 and sixth in the mile. Freshman Shealyn Brochu, coming off a historic cross country season, stands at eighth in the league in the mile after running a six-second indoor PR putting her at third AU all-time.
