Morgan and Kluth Break Program Records, Track Runs Personal Bests at Boston and Liberty

BOSTON / LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Eagles posted more program records and top-10 times at the BU Valentine Invitational and Liberty Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational this weekend (Feb. 13-14). Seniors Carver Morgan and Kaden Kluth broke their own program records in Boston, with Morgan running 1:47.83 in the 800 and Kluth running 4:00.31 in the mile. Both are in the top five of the Patriot League standings.

Valentine Invitational
  • To start off the weekend in Boston on Friday (Feb. 13), sophomore Barak Goldstein ran a PR of 1:53.29 in the open 800 meters, placing 51st overall in the event.
  • In the open mile, freshman Emmett Engelhardt and sophomore Zack Zerbe both ran significant personal bests. Engelhardt ran 4:09.92 and Zerbe ran 4:11.85.
  • Senior Cooper Michaud ran a personal best of 8:19.14 in the 3k, placing 126th.
  • On Saturday (Feb. 14), freshman Shealyn Brochu improved her all-time performance in the mile with a six-second indoor PR of 4:49.62. She moved from fifth to third all-time for AU.
  • Junior Estella Miller continued her streak of bettering her personal best in the 3k this season, knocking off 12 more seconds to run 10:21.08.

Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational
  • On Friday, freshman Lilia Jones tied her second all-time mark in the 60 meters, running 7.72 seconds.
  • Sophomore Lara Gin ran 57.77 seconds in the 400 meters to improve her third all-time mark for AU.
  • Freshman Charlotte Orr placed seventh in the 800 meters in an indoor PR of 2:18.14, putting her at ninth AU all-time.
  • Sophomore Daniel Messer knocked more time off his 3k PR, running 8:27.29. Senior Annie RIpol also ran another consecutive 3k PR with a time of 10:33.91.
  • On Saturday, freshman Daden Grogan ran a PR of 1:06.65 in the 500, putting himself at seventh AU all-time.
  • The men's 4x400 meter squad of Gregory Celariste, Daden Grogan, Ty Parker, and Papakojo Danquah ran 3:27.55, which ties for seventh AU all-time.

Next Up
The Eagles will return to Fairfax next Friday (Feb. 20) for the George Mason Father Diamond Invitational. This will be AU's last meet of the regular season.
