Why I Chose American: “I would like to continue my studies in computer science in college and better the world around us. I believe that cybersecurity is extremely important. Technology and electronic information flow are fixed in every aspect of modern life. Whether that be financial transactions, cellphones, bank accounts, military and government files security, routing airplanes, utility systems etc. As the world becomes more digital, cyberattacks become more frequent and pernicious. To protect individuals in society, enhancing cyber security is a must. Past events such as security breaches in our government have already happened. Therefore, new research for proficient security systems is vital. Consequently, receiving an education at American University will provide me the opportunity to flourish in my academic career; coding, solving problems, and helping others.”
