BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After back-to-back prolific games against both Navy and Army, American University women's basketball freshman
Charlotte Tuhy has been named the Patriot League's Rookie of the Week. This is Tuhy's second time being honored.
In the Eagles' first game of the week, against Navy, the 6'1 forward picked up her eighth double-double of the season against Navy and led American on both offense and defense with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Her rebounding led all players on both teams. She also picked up three assists and had a steal on the evening.
Three days later, against Army West Point, Tuhy once again led all players in rebounds with her 12 boards. She added six points for the Eagles on the afternoon and was the only Eagle with a steal or an assist in the contest.
Tuhy is averaging a double-double on the season with 10.6 ppg and 10.5 rpg; she leads the Eagles in rebounding and is third in scoring.
