WASHINGTON - The first dual meet of the season is next up for American University men's and women's swimming & diving, as the Eagles get set to host UMBC at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3. Parking on Campus
- As of August 25, parking on campus is being actively monitored seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Parking is available on a per-event basis in any campus garage after 5 p.m., and standard hourly parking is available in two campus garages at any time.
- Event Parking: $10 per contest for events held after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends (available through the PayByPhone app in any garage using code (211950).
- Hourly Parking:Â Standard hourly garage rates apply from 8 am-10 pm in the Katzen Arts Center and School of International Service garages.

Last Time Against the Retrievers
- AU and UMBC met in Baltimore almost exactly a year ago, with the Retrievers taking a 178-120 win on the women's side, and a 208.5-91.5 win on the men's side.
- Sophomore Luke Martens and senior Isabel McGovern both posted wins in that meet, with Martens taking first in the 200 IM and McGovern winning the 200 fly.
- Sophomore Brooke Vos was second in the 200 IM, freshman Claire Mosher was second in the 200 fly, senior Daniel Coughlin was second in the 200 fly, sophomore Demetra Bicos was second in the 200 free, sophomore Piper Crosby took second in the 100 back, junior Rebecca Siegel was second in the 200 back, and sophomore Ryan Pursley placed second in both the 100 and 200 back.
Potomac Relays Recap
- The women's team captured the outright win for the first time since 2019, and the men's team placed third for the first time since 2021 when AU hosted the annual Potomac Relay Invitational last Friday against Georgetown, George Mason, Howard, Mount St. Mary's, and Mary Washington. » The Eagles captured two wins and two second-place finishes out of nine events on their way to the win for the women.
- The women's team, winning outright with 450 points after tying for the win last season, earned wins in the 3x100 breaststroke relay and the 2x500 freestyle relay. They placed second in both the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.
- On the men's side, the Eagles took second place in the 2x500 freestyle relay.
- Teaming up for the women's breaststroke relay win in 3:20.58 were sophomore Marin Priddy, junior Jordan Carpentieri, and sophomore Grace Gilbert.
- Junior Kate Williams and sophomore Demetra Bicos were the winning pair in the 2x500 freestyle relay with a time of 10:25.08.
