2024-25 (Freshman) - Finished 23rd at the 2025 Patriot League Championships in the 1650 freestyle… Throughout the dual meet season took home six dual meet wins in three different events… Won two 400 IMs against ODU and Howard, three 200 IMs against Catholic, Georgetown and UMBC, as well as one 100 free against Catholic… Holds four times on the AU All-Time Top 16 List in the 500 free (14th), 1650 free (16th), 200 fly (13th), and 400 IM (12th)... Personal-best times included 1:40.55 (200 free), 4:33.88 (500 free), 16:14.20 (1650 free) and 1:52.44 (200 fly)... Dean’s List member in the Fall 2024 semester.

Before AU – Competed with the Fox Valley Swim Team (coach Michael Hamann)... Career best times include 4:02.41 in 400 IM, 1:41.52 in 200 free, 1:53.77 in 200 IM, 4:41.09 in 500 free, 1:54.34 in 200 fly, and 47.37 in 100 free… Was an IHSA state qualifier in 2023 and 2024… A 400 free relay All-American in 2024… Earned DuPage Valley Conference All-Academic and Athletic selections in 2022, 2023 and 2024… 400 free relay all-state honorable mention in 2023… 400 free relay all-state in 2024… Member of the Fox Valley Swimming national team in 2022, 2023 and 2024… Futures qualifier in 2024 in the 400 IM, 200 free and 200 IM… DuPage Valley Conference Champions in 2021 and 2023, sectional champions in 2023 and 204, and finished in third place at IHSA State in 2024.

Personal – Parents are Adrienne and Scott Martens… Enjoys spending time with others, watching sports, playing other games and sports for fun, and singing and listening to music… Chose American for its passionate student body, involvement in opportunities for his majors and the D.C. location… Majoring in journalism at American.
