WASHINGTON - For their performances both on the mat and in the classroom, five wrestlers from American University have earned EIWA Academic Achievement Awards for the 2022-23 school year. Leading the way with his third such honor was senior Patrick Ryan.

Sophomore Jack Maida was honored for the second time, as was graduate student Colin Shannon. Redshirt junior Will Jarrell and redshirt freshman Lucas White both earned their first academic achievement awards this year.

The criteria includes achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and participating in the EIWA Championships, or achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and representing the EIWA and your institution at the NCAA Championships.
