LEWISBURG, Pa. - The American University track team advanced two into the finals and picked up five new personal records (PRs) on day one of two at the Patriot League Indoor Track Championships, hosted by Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa.
#AUTF NOTES
- Oscar Counsell continued his impressive indoor season with a qualification into the final of the mile run. He placed ninth overall in the preliminary round with a new PR of 4:13.88 and will be the only freshman in the race on Sunday.
- Classmate Michael Cullen also picked up a new PR in the mile, finishing in 4:34.59 for 16th in the field. Junior Nathan Reeves placed 12th and was just outside of his career best with a 4:16.17 crossing.
- Junior Nia Holden highlighted the women's results with a qualification into Sunday after running a new PR of 2:14.43 in the 800-meter prelim. The time, which moves her up to third in the program record books, was good for eighth overall in the field.
- Freshman Neev Agarwal added her name to the program record books, tying the 10th-fastest 60m dash time in AU history with a final time of 8.65. Senior Alisha Netus joined her in the field and just missed out on her current PR (8.01 - the second-fastest time in AU history) with an 8.04 finish.
- Sophomore Kylie Raymond rounded out the PR performances for the day with a new career-best in the 5000m run.
- Junior Russell Sullivan picked up a top-10 individual finish, placing ninth in the 5000m run in 14:38.73 to just miss a scoring position in the event.
- The men's 4x800m concluded the day with a pair of points for the team, placing seventh overall in 7:51.30.

- Events will resume on Sunday at 12:10 with the final in the men's mile.
