WASHINGTON - After scoring a career-high 12 points at Boston University and going 5-of-7 from the floor for the week, American University women's basketball sophomore guard
Laura Graytok was named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week.
Graytok hit all three of her three-point attempts in the final two minutes of the game en route to finishing with her career-high 12 points at BU. She also pulled down four boards and grabbed two steals in 13 total minutes of action.
Earlier in the week in the Eagles' Patriot League-opening win vs. Colgate, Graytok made 4-of-4 free throws and scored six points overall.
American (5-7, 1-1) will return home to host Army West Point on Jan. 8, and Lehigh on Jan. 11 for AU's annualÂ
National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).
