The American University women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 10, when it hosts Boston University in a 7 p.m. contest.

The Eagles enter the game with a 5-17 overall record and 3-8 ledger in the Patriot League after its 61-52 loss to Lehigh on Saturday. Freshman Cecily Carl registered her first career double-double, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds against the Mountain Hawks, while senior Ari Booth added 12 points.

For the season, junior Lauren Crisler leads the Eagles with 9.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest, while Booth and Carl each add 7.2 points per game. Meanwhile, sophomore Maria Liddane leads American in assists, averaging 4.0 per game, including a league-best 5.6 assists per game in PL contests only.

Boston University enters Wednesday's game with a 2-20 overall record and 2-9 mark in the Patriot League. The Terriers are coming off a 71-64 home loss to Lafayette. Junior Meghan Green recorded 18 points to lead BU, while classmates Sarah Hope and Courtney Latham added 14 and 10 points, respectively.

For the season, Green leads the Terriers with 11.4 points per game, while Hope adds 8.7 points per contest.
