WASHINGTON - Eight members of the American University men's and women's swimming & diving teams have been honored as
College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections. From the women's team, senior
Grace Netz, sophomore
Marin Priddy, senior
Peyton Thurman, and junior
Kate Williams were recognized. From the men's team the honorees are senior
Daniel Coughlin, junior
Connor Florence, junior
Campbell Hall, and sophomore
Luke Martens.
In order to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and most be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Swim and dive student-athletes must have competed in 75 percent of team competitions, or finish top-eight at a conference meet, or participate in a national championship. Only four members from each team can be recognized.
Netz has a 3.85 GPA and is set to graduate next month with a degree in psychology, Priddy is a business administration major with a 3.90 GPA, Thurman has a 3.89 GPA and will graduate in May with a degree in public relations & strategic communication, and Williams is a law & politics and psychology double major with a GPA of 3.94.Â
Coughlin boasts a 4.0 GPA and will graduate with a degree in biology, Florence is a CLEG (communications, legal institutions, economics, and government) major with a 3.90 GPA, Hall has a 3.91 GPA as a finance major, and Martens has a 3.87 GPA as a journalism and international studies double major.
All eight student-athletes competed in the 2026 Patriot League Championships and six were point-scorers, including Priddy with 63.5 points scored and Martens with 20 points scored.
