Lacrosse’s Murdoch and Linehan Named to All-Patriot League Second Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Reagan Murdoch and Kellie Linehan of American University lacrosse have been named to the All-Patriot League Second Team, announced today by the conference. It's Murdoch's second selection of her career and Linehan's first, as the pair of senior captains earn the league-wide recognition after combining for 95 points to lead the Eagles this season.

Murdoch was AU's most consistent scoring threat, leading the team in goals for a second straight season with a career-high 41. She added 17 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers in the midfield, rounding out a complete performance in her final season. Murdoch stepped up in her team's most important games, scoring 19 goals in Patriot League play – the third-most amongst all midfielders in the conference. She scored five goals apiece in victories over Lehigh and Holy Cross, and totaled five games with at least four goals. Finishing her career as one of AU's all-time great scorers, her 128 total tallies rank her fourth in program history.

Linehan turned in the best season of her career in 2026, serving as the driving force of AU's offensive production after transitioning from the midfield to attack. She racked up 50 points on 35 goals and 15 assists, and she was a playmaker away from goal as well. Her team-leading 52 draw controls were crucial for the Eagles, as she collected a combined 14 across their three Patriot League wins. She had a dominant day in the circle against Bucknell, corralling the fifth-most draw controls in the program's single-game history with 10. Linehan etched her name into another spot in AU's record book in the same week, putting together a dominant nine-point performance against Lafayette to tie for fourth-most all-time. She scored six goals and dished out three assists while leading her team to a 12-10 victory.

Murdoch and Linehan are AU's 70th and 71st All-Patriot League selections in program history.
