Swimming & Diving Set for Patriot League Championships at Navy from Wednesday to Saturday

WASHINGTON - After a one-year move to Bucknell, the 2026 Patriot League Swimming & Diving Championships return to the United States Naval Academy from Feb. 18-21 at Lejeune Hall. The Eagles have a young but talented team ready to improve on seventh (women) and ninth-place (men) finishes from a year ago. The women's team has tremendous depth in the sprint freestyle events, as well as a miler seeded in the top five. The men's team also has a number athletes capable of scoring team points.

Session Times

Wednesday - 2 p.m. diving trials followed by diving consolation final, 5 p.m. finals (3M women's diving, 200 medley relay, 800 free relay)
Thursday - 10 a.m. swimming trials, 1 p.m. diving trials followed by diving consolation final, 6 p.m. finals (500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, 1M men's diving, 400 medley relay)
Friday - 10 a.m. swimming trials, 1 p.m. diving trials followed by diving consolation final, 6 p.m. finals (100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, 1M women's diving, 200 free relay)
Saturday - 10 a.m. swimming trials, 1 p.m. diving trials followed by diving consolation final, 6 p.m. finals (200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1650 free, 3M men's diving, 400 freestyle relay)

Fans

The fan shuttle bus from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium runs from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m. (or past the end of the session) Thursday-Saturday. Tickets remain on sale through the Navy Ticket Office (Wednesday night is free).

Women's Athletes to Watch

Sophomore Piper Crosby will be a big name to watch for the Eagles. She is seeded second in the 100 backstroke just 0.65 seconds behind first, and fifth in the 50 freestyle. Starting this season, all NCAA conference champions automatically qualify for March's NCAA Championships.
Senior Isabel McGovern will also have an action-packed program this week, as she is seeded to score in each of her three individual events and will also swim on four relays. She won both the 100 and 200 fly at the Patriot Invitational, events she is seeded 13th and 14th in, respectively.
Sophomore Marin Priddy will be another key sprinter for the Eagles, as she is seeded 11th in the 50 free and 20th in the 100 free. But her best seeded event is in breaststroke, as she is seeded 10th.
Junior Kate Williams will be looking to improve upon two consecutive years of scoring at this meet. She'll swim in the finals session on Saturday night in the 1650 free, where she is seeded fifth. She's also seeded to score in the 500 free.
Senior divers Peyton Thurman and Maggie Fanning will dive for the final time at this meet. Both have solidified themselves in the program's top 16 all-time list and will look to score some big points for the Eagles in the diving competitions.

Men's Athletes to Watch

Sophomore Luke Martens is set to swim the triple distance events of the 500 free, 400 IM, and the 1650 free, where he is seeded 22nd. He is currently top 16 in all three events and led the Eagles in points at the Patriot Invitational.
Junior Lucas Standridge will swim all three sprint freestyle events in the 50, 100, and 200, the latter of which he has scored in over the last two Patriot League Championships and is sixth in program history.
Sophomore Sean Memon and freshman Alex Way are set to compete for the Eagles on the diving board. At last year's meet, Memon qualified for the C-final in the three meter. Like Thurman and Fanning, both are top 16 in program history in both the one meter and three meter.
The Eagles have massive depth in the 200 fly, with four swimmers—seniors Daniel Coughlin and Madan Morris, junior Ryan Tiffany, and sophomore Cole Coffman—reaching the B-final of November's Patriot Invitational in the event. At last year's Patriot League Championships, Tiffany reached the C-final in this event and recorded a time in finals that put him sixth all-time.
