What to Know About American
  • The Eagles are coming off a 14-3 loss to Georgetown on Friday, Feb. 6. The Hoyas controlled the game from the jump, taking the lead a minute in and piling on from there.
  • Brooke Hill made nine saves in her debut for American, facing an onslaught of 21 shots on goal. Kellie Linehan scored two of AU's goals, with the freshman Julia Pope adding the third.
  • Linehan and Reagan Murdoch are AU's top returners on the offensive end. Murdoch earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Second Team in 2025, racking up 45 points on 38 goals and seven assists. After her first 13 goals this season, she will have 100 to her name.
  • Playing as a midfielder the last three years, Linehan returns for her senior year as an attacker. Head coach Lindsay Teeters moves one of her most dangerous scorers closer to goal after the sharp shooter scored 29 goals on a .547 shooting percentage in 2025.
  • American's defensive unit is led by juniors Deirdre Brown and Sammie Buonaccorsi. The duo was in the top five on the team in caused turnovers and ground balls last year, with Brown adding 11 draw controls.
  • The sophomore class also bolsters AU's defense, with Lauren Pramik, Izzy Masengarb, and Rayah Johnson all making starts against Georgetown. Pramik led the Eagles in caused turnovers with three, and Johnson had two.
  • Lindsay Teeters enters her sixth season at the helm of AU lacrosse. Throughout her time in D.C., she's tied the program's single-season wins record, coached ten All-Patriot League selections, and helped three players break into AU's all-time top five for career points.
What to Know About Temple
  • The Owls are out to a 2-0 start, defeating Delaware on Feb. 6 and Saint Joseph's on Feb. 11 most recently.
  • Senior attacker Lexi Culp has been Temple's top scorer, putting in seven goals across the two games. She had four goals in the 12-9 win against Saint Joseph's and three against Delaware in the 12-10 victory.
  • RIley Horoshko has been strong in goal so far, making 20 saves across the two games. She came up with 14 against Saint Joseph's, with nine of them coming in the first half to keep her team in the game early.
  • Temple came from behind to defeat Delaware, trailing the entire game until midway through the fourth quarter. Down 9-6, the Owls outscored the Blue Hens 6-1 in the final frame to close the door. Senior midfielder Sabrina Martin led the way, scoring four goals.
  • The Owls have made the American Athletic Conference Tournament in three of the last five seasons, and return three All-AAC players: midfielders Martin and Sarah Gowman, and defender Kat Bielinski
  • Veteran head coach Bonnie Rosen is in her 20th season with Temple, coming into the year as the 18th winningest coach in NCAA Division I Women's lacrosse history with 225 wins.
