Scouting the Eagles
  • The Eagles, who had been on a six-game win streak, have dropped their most recent run of three games and are looking to turn around their luck starting with a conference win over Colgate.
  • American fell by one goal (2-1) in a hotly contested game against Providence that saw Kaleigh Missimer score her fourth goal of the season on an acrobatic spin move in the second half. The team, gaining momentum in fourth quarter, ran out of time to complete a comeback against the Friars.
  • This was followed by an AU loss that saw the team fall in a penalty shootout after the game against No. 19 Lafayette saw neither side score in game play.
  • This past Sunday, American's game against Rutgers ran a similar storyline to Providence, with two goals scored late in the second half to make it a 1-goal deficit with four minutes remaining, but the Scarlet Knights capitalized on AU's high press and won 4-2 in the final minute of the game.
  • Despite this run of three games, American leads the Patriot League in points this season with 95 for an average of 7.92 per game. The Eagles are also second in the league in goals (33), ahead of Colgate and Lafayette (22), and behind Boston U. (41).
  • American is third in the league in assist per game average (2.417) but leads the league in assists (29) from its 12 games. Colgate is the league leader in assists per game (2.889) and has 26 total from its nine games played.
  • With 17 goals allowed, the Eagles are second in the league and Teagan Harmon is second in the league in shutouts (4), with two of those coming in Patriot League play against Bucknell and Lafayette.
  • Jordan Reicher, with her goal on Sunday against Rutgers, leads the team with six goals this season, the senior scoring on her signature backhand shot for the first time in 2026. Sophie Willemse follows with five goals while Olivia Morraye and Kaleigh Missimer each have four goals. Willemse leads with 13 points on her five goals and three assists.
  • Senior midfielder Emilia Winkler leads the team in assists, with eight which, combined with a goal is ten. Freshman Sam Kockx also has ten points from three goals and four assists.
