High School: Played club hockey for Schaerweijde U18-1, a top Dutch youth team competing in the Landelijk league, the highest level of youth field hockey in the Netherlands … before being selected for Schaerweijde, played for HC Eemvallei (mostly in the Topklasse/Subtopklasse) and was a key player and team captain … throughout her club career, has several times been a champion.
 
Personal: Daughter of Lisette Ouwerkerk and Dennis Kockx … father Dennis was a professional tennis player and won multiple (inter)national championships, he was ranked national and internationally and is currently the owner and coach of an esteemed Dutch tennis program … sister Loïs is also a talented field hockey player who plays for Laren MO16-1 … took her final exams in dance at school … has a lot of experience coaching hockey to children and coached for years, both indoors and outdoors … until coming to the US, worked as a waitress in a pancake restaurant for three years. … plans to study communications at AU.
 
Why she chose American: “From the very first moment, I clicked with Steve and one of the players on the team, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at home. It felt right straight away. AU really stood out to me because of its strong hockey program, and on top of that, the academic opportunities aligned perfectly with what I was looking for. Altogether, it felt like the ideal place for me to grow both as a player and as a student.”
