  • AU's defense held Charlotte to just seven shots on goal in the first half, but the 49ers stormed back into the game in the second. They scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter, capped off by the game-tying goal from Kylie Gioia with on minute remaining.
  • American used six different goal scorers to get the win, including hat tricks from Kellie Linehan and Annabelle Jackson
  • The Eagles collected a season-high 18 draw controls in the game. Maddy Spratt led the way with a career-high 13, recording her 100th career draw control in the process.
  • Last Saturday, the Eagles suffered a 22-13 loss to Liberty. Murdoch had five goals and Frank had four, but the offensive effort wasn't enough. The Eagles got outscored 14-5 through the second and third quarters, and could not climb back into the game from there.
  • Senior goalkeeper Caleigh Forti stands among the country's best this year, sitting at fifth overall in the NCAA in saves at 81. She had her second 15-save game of the season against Liberty, and has reached double-figures in denials in four contests this year.

  • Junior midfielder Kellie Linehan follows Murdoch with 17 goals on the year, with six multi-goal games this season.
