WASHINGTON - For leading a defensive unit that allowed just a single second-half goal in a win over Bucknell, junior Jenna Walls of American University lacrosse has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 8-14.

Walls picked up five ground balls and caused three turnovers to help lead American to a 12-9 victory over the Bison. The junior defender was an integral part of an Eagles' defense that held the Bison to one goal in the second half, allowing AU to use a 7-0 run to come from behind and then lead the rest of the way.

American will finish its regular season schedule on the road, traveling to Boston to take on the Terriers on Saturday, April 20 at noon before concluding Patriot League play Thursday, April 26 at 6 p.m. when it heads to Annapolis to play Navy.
