WASHINGTON – After falling to Army West Point over the weekend, the Eagles look to avoid three straight losses as they host Bucknell on Saturday, Apr. 13 with a start time of 12:00 PM. As the contest will be the last home game of the 2024 season, the Eagles will celebrate their four seniors for Senior Day. Saturday is also Mental Health Awareness Day at Jacobs.

SCOUTING AMERICAN
- Although falling last weekend to the Black Knights of Army, the Eagles saw strong performances from players like senior midfielder Spease and sophomore forward Reagan Murdoch, who grabbed five and four points respectfully while both completing hat tricks for American.
- With her three goals, Murdoch reached 30 goals on the season, the first Eagle to do so in 2024. She also leads the team in points with 37 total.
- In the contest at Army, junior Maddy Spratt also posted a goal and two assists while classmate Becca Frank scored a goal of her own.
- Goalkeepers Caleigh Forti and Lexi Rakis split time in the net at the loss to Army. Despite the loss, American goalkeeping sits at the top of the Patriot League in saves per game with an average of 11.31.
- The Eagles will spend their remaining two games of the 2024 season on the road, facing Boston University next Saturday, April 20 before their regular season finale against Navy on Thursday, April 25.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
- Bucknell travels to Washington after snapping their three-game losing streak with a 15-13 win against Colgate at home. The Bison sit just above the Eagles in the Patriot League with a 2-3 league record.
- Senior Taylor Kopan led the way for the Bison in their victory, scoring five goals and grabbing an assist. Sophomore Megan Krestinski scored four goals and three assists to help secure a much-needed Bison victory.
- Junior goalie Colleen Kazanjian made 13 saves in Bucknell's win over Colgate, proving decisive in a match that came down to the last ten minutes.
- The Bison play well on both sides of penalties, sitting first in the Patriot League on woman-down goals per game with five (.45) and fourth in the league in woman-up goals per game with 20 (1.82).
- Bucknell, with a game in hand to American, will travel home to face both Lafayette and Army before taking to Baltimore to face Loyola Maryland in their final game of the season.
