SCOUTING AMERICAN
  • The Eagles are an even 4-4 this season, most recently falling to Iona midweek in a close 13-12 battle. It was a game of momentum shifts, and when the momentum shifted back American's way at the end of the game it brought them within one, but time ran out on completing the comeback.

  • Reagan Murdoch, sophomore midfielder, scored three goals on the afternoon for a hat trick. Two of Murdoch's goals came within the last 1:37 of the contest to bring the difference down to just one goal separating the two sides. Murdoch leads the team with 25 points from 21 goals and four assists.
  • On defense, Jenna Walls led with three caused turnovers and three ground balls and Jordan Mitchell topped the whole team with six draw controls. Mitchell picked up a ground ball and had a caused turnover while Walls also notched an assist. Walls tops the defense with 11 caused turnovers on the season; she's also got 7 ground balls.
  • Goalkeeper Caleigh Forti leads in ground balls for the team with 29. Forti has a save percentage of .500 across the eight games played. In the game against Iona she tallied 11 saves and a save percentage of .458.
SCOUTING SIENA
  • The Saints are coming to Jacobs on a two-game win streak that they'll be looking to build upon. Most recently, Siena claimed a mid-week victory over the Patriot League's Colgate, topping the Raiders 16-9.
  • In the contest with Colgate, the Saints were led by Kelly Logue with four goals. The junior attacker's four goals were the most she's scored in a single game so far this season. She's currently second on the team in scoring and in points with 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points.
  • Leading the team in both goals and assists is another junior attacker, Grace Dobrzynski. She's got 12 goals and 19 assist so far this season for 31 points. She has six ground balls and in the game on Tuesday against Colgate finished with three goals and four assists. She was 1-for-1 on free position shots.
  • Jordan Bentley (3 goals, 1 assists) and Meghan Decker (2 goals) also had a big impact in the Saints' win over the Raiders on Tuesday. Bentley has eight goals and two assists this season so far and Decker follows with six goals and one assist.
  • On the season, the Saints are averaging 11.3 goals per game and have a 71.1% shots-on-goal percentage. In their season opener against #14 Johns Hopkins, Siena fell 9-17, but less than a week later defeated #18 Army West Point by a close 12-11 final score line. The game against American will be just their second on the road so far.
