WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American University women's basketball team looks to close their two-game home stand on Tuesday Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. against Army West Point. The Eagles hope to get themselves back in the win column, looking to sweep the series with the Black Knights.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- In their last meeting earlier this year, the Eagles picked up a win against the Black Nights in West Point, 75-69.
- In the contest, four Eagles soared into in double digit scoring to secure the win. Led by senior Ivy Bales who had 14 points along with four rebounds, a steal, and two assists while Army was led by freshman Fiona Hastick with 18 points, three rebounds, and block.
- Historically between the two teams, the Eagles have a 16-8 home court advantage against the Black Nights and are hoping to extend that.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN
- American is riding a four-game loss streak, most recently dropping to Colgate on Saturday afternoon, 72-60. The Eagles are currently sitting in sixth in the Patriot League. But only three games separate the top eight teams with three games left, so it's all up in the air.
- The Eagles were lead in the contest by senior Emily Johns with 21 points, she picked up nine of her points and six of her seven rebounds in the first half.
- Senior guard Anna LeMaster has picked up momentum with the season, as she had 14 points against the Raiders. LeMaster has picked double digit scoring in six out of the last seven games, including a double-double against Navy with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
- In scoring, Johns leads the team for the season with an average of 12.5 points per game and a .491 field goal percentage, followed by senior Ivy Bales with 9.1 ppg and a .462 percentage from the floor.
- Bales leads American and sits second in the Patriot League with steals, averaging 2.2 per game. She also leads the team in assists per game along with siting third in the Patriot League with 3.5 assists per game.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ARMY
- The Black Knights are currently sitting third in the Patriot League, after falling at home to Bucknell on Saturday, 65-63.
- In the contest Army lead early with Hastick scoring all the Black Night's first 11 points. Hastick hit four threes in the game and had 16 points overall to keep her team in it against the Bison.
- Reese Ericson led Army in scoring against Bucknell with 18 points, 12 of which came from behind the arc.
- Junior Trinity Hardy leads the Black Nights in points per game, averaging 11.8. For the week of Feb. 12 Hardy was named Patriot League Player of the week after scoring a career-high of 23 points and shooting 10-16 from the field to help Army defeat their rival, Navy. Hardy also sits third, behind Bales in the Patriot League for steals per game with 2.1.
- Freshman Kya Smith leads the Black Knights and sits fourth in the Patriot League in rebounding averaging 7.6 per game.
