WASHINGTON – Coming off a win in Bender over Navy and a full week off from games to prepare, the American University women's basketball team (5-16, 4-6 PL) will be trekking up to New York to take the court against Colgate (10-11, 4-6 PL) in their second meeting of the season. The re-match this time around will be mid-week, with the teams tipping off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

INSIDE THE SERIES

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT COLGATE
- The Raiders took on Lafayette this week and fell to the Leopards, 53-45, in Pennsylvania. Nicole Parks scored a career-high 14 points and shot 100% from the field to lead the Raiders to a winning first half, but Lafayette outscored Colgate 35-14 after the break to take the game.
- Defensively, both Lafayette and Colgate posted 15 rebounds in the game, but overall, the Leopards totaled 37 to the Raiders' 32. Both teams also scored 28 points in the paint.
- Sophomore guard Taylor Golembiewski and Morgan McMahon lead the team in points this season, Golembiewski with 252 (12.0 ppg) and McMahon with 190 (9.0 ppg). Both players also rank in the top-25 of the league in scoring, Golembiewski sitting at 13th and McMahon at 23rd.
- Alexa Brodie, a sophomore guard, leads the Raiders in assists this season with 55, grabbing 6 against Army to kick off their 2023 conference campaign. Brodie is followed by freshman guard Madison Schiller, who has recorded 52 assists so far this season, notching 10 in a matchup against Oswego St. earlier this season.
- For the season, Senior guard Jenna Paul leads the Raiders in 3-pointers made with 24. Paul recorded six against the ACC's Syracuse in the second game of the season. She is followed by Golembiewski with 21. Paul is shooting .296 from beyond the arc.
- Tiasia McMillan, a junior forward, has a team-leading 13 blocks, ranking eleventh in the Patriot League and recording her most in a single game this season (3) in the last matchup against American in mid-January.
