BETHLEHEM, Pa. – American University cross country graduate students Rachael Potter and Row Sullivan have been voted to the Academic All-Patriot League, the conference office announced on Friday.
 
Boston University and Navy led the way with three selections overall between the two teams, including Navy's Sam Keeny and Boston U.'s Vera Sjoberg being named to the Scholar-Athletes of the Year. American, Colgate, and Lehigh followed with two members each. Voting for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Team is done by the league's field hockey sports information directors.
 
Combined between track and cross country, this is Sullivan's eighth appearance on the Academic All-League team. In the spring, Sullivan was named the PL Scholar Athlete of the Year for outdoor track. They find themselves consistently in the top three finishers in every race this season so far, with one left to go–the NCAA Eastern Regional The graduate student holds a cumulative 3.94 grade point average finished their undergraduate degree with their bachelor's in philosophy and political science with a focus in American government.

This is the first appearance on the All-Academic Team for Potter, but the Glen Allen, Va., native has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ten times throughout her tenure. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.97 and graduated in the spring with her bachelor's degree in elementary education and is working toward her master's in early childhood education.
