WASHINGTON - Senior Stefanie Walsh of American University lacrosse, already named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, has also been honored as the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts in a 13-9 win at Lafayette.

Walsh, who scored a career-high six goals on March 13 in a win at ODU, tied that number in the Eagles' PL-opening and fourth straight win with another six goals. She added one assist at Lafayette to set a new career high of seven total points. Three of Walsh's goals were scored on free-position attempts, where she went 3-for-3. Overall, she scored goals on six of seven shots in the contest. 

Next up, the Eagles will host Holy Cross in their PL home opener at noon on Saturday, March 26. Admission is free for all fans, all season long.
