Patriot League Release
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - All 26 student-athletes on the American University lacrosse team earned spots on the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league office released on Monday. This is the first time the Eagles placed a full squad on the lacrosse honor roll, and tops the 24 selections in 2018 for a new program record.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA in the spring semester and participate in one of the league's winter or spring championship sports.
A total of 298 student-athletes from across the league were recognized for their work in the classroom during the spring semester. Of those 298 honorees, 63 earned 4.00 GPA's during the spring including AU seniors Casey Harkins and Katie Wood, junior Sarah Boney, sophomores Haley Harkins and Jennifer Schaen, and freshman Tillie Mintz.
Harkins and Wood were also among the four Eagles who made their fourth honor roll appearance along with classmates Izzy Jade and Erica Skowron. Boney and her fellow-juniors Delaney Oliveira and Emma Vinall, and senior Emma Curtis each earned their third honor roll selection while juniors Kendall Goldblum and Cate Golden, and all eight sophomores made the list for the second time. All eight newcomers, including junior transfer Drew Reno, rounded out the release with their PL honor roll debuts.
