WASHINGTON - After a dominant performance in a 21-12 season-opening win for American University lacrosse at Saint Francis, senior Casey Harkins has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week.

Harkins opened her final season in the AU uniform in a big way, pacing the Eagles with career-highs in goals (six) and points (eight) after also pitching in a pair of assists. She scored twice in the opening 10 minutes to set the tone for the Eagles, and rattled off three straight goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest as well.

The Eagles will be back in action for their home opener against Delaware State at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
