SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- The Eagles fell just shy of picking up their second fourth quarter comeback against Towson, outpacing the Tigers 20-12 down the stretch behind a seven-point effort from senior Kaitlyn Marenyi.
- Marenyi closed with a season-high 18 points alongside senior Morgan Bartner, who put up a new career-high off 7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-5 from the perimeter.
- American is in search of its first road win of the season after it opened the season with a 81-69 loss at the preseason No. 1 pick in the MAC with Ohio. Buffalo, picked No. 2 in the preseason poll, is the second and final MAC team on AU's nonconference schedule.Â
