WASHINGTON – Following an eight-point performance in American's 15-12 victory over Lafayette on Saturday, senior lacrosse captain Olivia Mangan was selected as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the Week.

A native of Maplewood, N.J., Mangan registered four goals and four assists to lead American in its come-from-behind victory over the Leopards, giving the Eagles their first Patriot League win of the season.

Six of Mangan's eight points came in the second half, as the Eagles erased an 8-4 halftime deficit. She gave American its first lead of the second half at 11-10 and again at 12-11, as the Eagles remained on top for the remainder of the contest.

Saturday's performance was the second eight-point game of the season for Mangan, who tied the program record for the most points scored in a single game. Additionally, Mangan moved into a tie for second place in the AU record books in career assists with 54.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 9, when they visit Bucknell at 1 p.m.
