The American University men's indoor track team
registered four top-five finishes at the Navy Invitational on
Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Md.
John Pope led the Eagles with a second
place result in the 5,000 meter run, registering a personal-best
mark of 14:56.31.
In the mile, Nick
Regan placed third with a career-best time of 4:14.73
and Peter
Rowe placed fourth in 4:15.95. Matiss
Batarags and Brandon Latham registered
personal-best times of 4:27.27 and 4:47.27 to
finish seventh and eighth, respectively, in the event.
Brendan Johnson registered a fifth
place finish in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:44.22 and Liam May placed eighth in 2:00.72 in
the 800 meter race.
The Eagles will return to action next week when
both the men's and women's teams travel to College Park, Md. for
the Terrapin Invitational.
