Lauren Schoenberger scored with 0.8 seconds remaining to give the American University lacrosse team a 19-18 victory over Colgate in a rematch of last season's Patriot League Semifinals.

American (4-4, 1-1) was down 18-17 with five minutes left before Kimberly Collins recorded the equalizer with 2:30 remaining. With the clock winding down, the Eagles stalled in the Raiders' territory before Emily Maher found Schoenberger in front of the net who added the game-winner.

Colgate (1-7, 1-1) took a 2-0 advantage early but Samantha Marshall put the Eagles on the board with 18 minutes remaining in the first. American took a 4-3 lead off goals from Collins, Paige Lin and Marshall with 15 minutes to go.

The Eagles and Raiders continued to trade goals, with American taking a 9-7 lead at the end of the first half.

The Raiders fought back to within one, 11-10, early in the second and were able to tie it at 14 with 15 minutes remaining. The game was tied once again at 17 with 10 minutes left to play before American's final game-winning run.

Collins matched her career-high with a team-high five goals as Marshall and Emily Burton each added four. Kaska Komosinski tallied nine saves in the win.

American will host George Mason on Wednesday, March 21 at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Eagles Vision TV.
