Dumiak's 20-point effort
for the second consecutive night was not enough as the American
University women's basketball team dropped its second straight road
contest to Oakland, 70-60, on Monday night to open the season.
Dumiak went 6-for-13 from the field with two three-pointers,
going a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line. She also matched the

Shaquilla
Curtis also finished the day with nine points,
notching three assists.
"Despite the loss we made some important strides today," said
Head Coach Matt Corkery. "We got 23 more
shots than a good Oakland team. When we convert on more of those
attempts we will see some success. For now we focus on progressing
one day at a time."
Oakland tallied 10 consecutive points for the 10-2 advantage
before Dobbs hit a three to make it a five-point game at the 15:55

with 9:38 left in the first half.
