Box Score The American University lacrosse team will look to pick up its second win of the season when it faces Old Dominion on Saturday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m.
The Eagles (1-3) are looking to rebound from a couple tough losses against UMBC and Richmond, both of which came by only three goals. In American's 17-14 defeat on Wednesday, the Eagles were down only one goal with five minutes remaining until the Spiders pulled away in the closing moments. Bernadette Maher, Samantha Marshall and Chiara Speziale each notched a hat trick in the loss.
Maher and Speziale lead American with eight goals apiece through the season's first four games, while Marshall and Kimberly Collins each have seven. Emily Stankiewicz leads the team in three statistical categories, including ground balls (10), draw controls (12) and caused turnovers (8). Goalkeeper Kaska Komosinski has a 13.54 goals against average and .289 save percentage so far this season.
