The American University lacrosse team will try to pick up its fifth win in six games when it faces Columbia on Wednesday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. in New York City.

The Eagles (5-4, 2-1) defeated Bucknell 20-11 on Saturday, with the 20 goals scored being the most since a 2007 victory over Longwood. Paige Lin and Samantha Marshall each tallied four goals in the victory, while Bernadette Maher added three. Kaska Komosinski had four saves on the afternoon as Marshall and Emily Stankiewicz paced the defense with three ground balls.

Marshall and Maher lead the team with 19 and 17 goals, respectively, while Chiara Speziale has 16. Stankiewicz leads the defense with 22 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Komosinski has a 10.75 goals against average and a .343 save percentage on the season. 

Columbia comes into Wednesday's contest with a 1-5 record and a 0-3 mark in the Ivy League. Taylor Gattinella and Olivia Mann lead the Lions' offensive attack with 13 goals apiece. Kacie Johnson, meanwhile, leads the team in both points (19) and assists (seven). Columbia's last game was a 15-7 loss to Dartmouth on Saturday.

American is 1-1 all-time against the Lions despite Columbia picking up a 9-6 victory in 2009 when the teams last met. Then-freshman Lauren Schoenberger and then-sophomore Brit Ferguson were two of four Eagles to score in that game.
