Club: Right to Dream Academy/Boston Bolts
High School: Lawrence Academy
Hometown: Techiman, Ghana

Boahen came to the United States through Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy in high school, and attended Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts. The midfielder spent time with Boston Bolts of MLS NEXT before committing to AU.

Coach Samol on Boahen: "Henrick has real quickness with and without the ball and a defensive bite to his game. He’s crafty and elusive on the ball and has the intelligence to play in multiple attacking spots. We see him most likely operating in the pockets where he feels pressure well and can use his creativity to help us produce goals. Henrick has a great way about him and we are excited to bring his personality into our locker room."

Rohan Chivukula
Position: Defender
Club: Sacramento Republic FC

Chivukula has risen through the ranks of the Sacramento Republic FC Academy, signing a USL academy contract and making his professional debut with the first team in March. In his first season with their U19 squad in MLS NEXT, he contributed to an overall record of 16-3-3 and a Northwest Division title before advancing to the Round of 32 in the postseason. The Folsom High School graduate previously featured for El Dorado Hills Soccer Club and Sacramento United.

Coach Samol on Chivukula: "Rohan has a great range of pass and air game for the CB position, not to mention his calmness on the ball in his build-up play. We see him handling the offensive side of the game well, but we also like his grit and toughness. Rohan has the right mentality to play CB and we're excited to bring that mentality into our back four."

A local goalkeeper, Marbray developed in the D.C. United Academy, one of the top youth systems in the region. Prior to his time in D.C., Marbray gained valuable experience playing at the MLS NEXT level with Baltimore Armour.

Coach Samol on Marbray: "Cam will join our returners JC Alvarez and Evan Tubbs to make up our three-man goalkeeping group. His quickness and athleticism make him a proper shot stopper, and his voice and presence on the field will help provide us a leader in the goal. Cam has good feet and calmness on the ball along with very good ball striking ability. He’s a team guy with great character and we’re excited to have him join us this fall."

Coach Samol on Meneses: "Massimo will add experience and positional versatility to the group as he will be able to play out wide or in our back four. He's got nice feet and a soft first touch, and we like his ability to unbalance defenders on the dribble in the wide areas. Massimo also brings energy to the group with his fitness and willingness to press, and we're happy to have him join us.”

Coach Samol on Phoenix: "Yuta is another versatile attacking player that we feel could play out wide or in the pockets. He has great ball control, agility, and feels pressure well. He’s elusive and hard to handle with the ball at his feet and we expect him to cause problems in the attack and help us score goals. He’s got the right work rate and drive to be a top player and we're excited about his future at AU."

James Quesenberry

James Quesenberry

Quesenberry also helped take Boulder High School to a state quarterfinal his senior year while continuing to develop with the Colorado Rapids’ ECNL side.

Coach Samol on Quesenberry: "James is an intelligent CM that plays the game with a tempo that we like here. In all our times seeing him play, James plays the game the right way and consistently makes good decisions with and without the ball. He finds good angles to get on the ball, can play in combination and is happy to do the dirty work required by CMs to win games. We're excited to add his mentality to our locker room."
