WASHINGTON - After adding to his stash of hardware with two more gold medals from the Patriot League this past weekend, senior Carver Morgan of American University men's track has been named the Eagle of the Week for the week of February 23-March 1. Morgan earned his third consecutive conference title in the 800 meter (two indoors, one outdoor), while also contributing to a gold medal in the men's distance medley relay.

Morgan earned his third consecutive conference 800 meter title by running a meet and program record of 1:46.97. Later in the day, he teamed up with freshman Emmett Engelhardt, freshman Gregory Celariste, and senior Kaden Kluth for a winning time and another meet record of 9:49.59 in the men's distance medley relay. For his outstanding efforts, Morgan was also named Patriot League Men's Track Athlete of the Meet. He is the second Eagle to ever win this honor, and the first since 2004.
