COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) has honored American University field hockey as a recipient of the coveted 2025 Division I National Academic Team Award.
The NFHCA celebrates academic excellence by honoring 60 Division I programs in 2025. This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.50 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year; only 60 programs found themselves on the list.
The University of Maine impressively led all of Division I, securing the top spot with an overall team GPA of 3.89.
The Eagles of American and the Hawks of Monmouth University collectively claim second place, each attaining a commendable team-average GPA of 3.77. The Eagles' 3.77 GPA led AU athletic department, reinforcing the team's continued commitment to academic success.

Pauline Gineste was honored as a four-time member of the 2025 Division I National Academic Squad. In addition, four Eagles,
Skylar Duffy,
Jill DuVarney,
Ashley Huddleston, and
Sydney Huddleston, were named as 2025 NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction.
