WASHINGTON – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization annually recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in competition and in the classroom. In the at-large division consisting of men's and women's fencing, field hockey, men's and women's golf, gymnastics, men's and women's lacrosse and wrestling, American field hockey's Alyssa Freeman, Sophie Willemse, and Emilia Winkler earned Academic All-District recognition.
 
CSC Academic All-America candidates must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average in at least their sophomore year academically and athletically, and they must meet certain sport-specific playing-time requirements.
 
Freeman finished her junior year with a cumulative GPA of 3.86 while studying for a degree in public health and closed out the spring semester with a 4.0 semester GPA. Willemse was already selected to the Patriot League Academic team at the conclusion of the 2025 regular season in November. Studying for a degree in business with a focus on information systems and tech and data science, the junior from the Netherlands carries a 3.89 cumulative GPA and had a 4.0 spring semester performance. Winkler, another junior to round out the trio, maintains a 3.89 cumulative GPA while studying for a Bachelor of Science in health promotion.
 
All three juniors were also named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as well.
