Two Silvers for Crosby, Six Total School Records for Swim & Dive at 2026 Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Two silver medals are going home from the 2026 Patriot League Swimming & Diving Championships with sophomore Piper Crosby, who earned her second medal on the final day of the meet with a school-record swim in the women's 200 backstroke after also earning a silver and a school record in the 100 backstroke one day prior. Crosby and the Eagles also closed out the meet with a third relay school record.

Women's Notable Results
  • Crosby posted a school-record time twice in the 200 back, going 1:59.16 in the prelims and improving to 1:57.83 in the finals. Her prelims time was third-best in the field while her finals time earned her the silver medal.
  • The times for Crosby both smashed her previous PR of 2:04.71 from just a few weeks ago on January 31, and her school record breaks the one set by Paris Wood in 2016 of 1:59.55.
  • With 82 points at the championships, Crosby ranked seventh individually among the 160 participating athletes on the women's side.
  • Senior Isabel McGovern took ninth place overall in the women's 200 fly. Her B final winning time of 2:02.27 was a PR that improves on her third-place standing at AU, and was the sixth-fastest time in the finals, down nearly two seconds from her prelims swim of 2:04.04.
  • Crosby and McGovern once again teamed up with sophomores Marin Priddy and Grace Gilbert for a relay school record, this time going 3:23.91 in the 400 freestyle relay to place seventh. It was the second relay record for the foursome, and the third relay record at the meet for AU.
  • Junior Kate Williams posted a ninth-place finish for the Eagles in the women's 1,650 freestyle in 17:09.93. Behind her was freshman Abby Rothrock with an 11th-place PR of 17:12.88 that moves her up to fifth all-time at AU.
  • Priddy advanced to the B final in the women's 100 free and placed 12th overall with a PR of 51.30 that improves upon her own sixth-place standing all-time at American.
  • Sophomore Claire Mosher earned a spot in the C final for the women's 200 fly and went 2:07.10 for 20th place overall.

  • Freshman Nabil Elakari posted a PR of 1:53.72 in the 200 back, and freshman Van Paul swam a PR of 2:06.89 in the 200 breast, but both just missed out on a spot in their C finals.
