Charlotte Tuhy Claims Third Rookie of the Week Honor

BETHLEHEM, Pa. –– It was yet another fruitful week of for American women's basketball freshman Charlotte Tuhy. With a combined 38 points, 28 rebounds, and seven blocks across two games, Tuhy has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for a third time this season.
 
Tuhy grabbed her 9th and 10th double-double of the season with her gameplay against Colgate and Holy Cross.
 
The freshman led all Eagles in scoring in both games played this week and led all players from both teams in scoring against Colgate. She was the first Eagle in a decade to put up 5 blocks in a single game with her five over the Raiders in addition to her 22 points and 17 boards. Her layup in the last 14 seconds of the game in Hamilton made it a three-point game to help American secure the road win. To close out the week, against Holy Cross, Tuhy led the Eagles with 16 points and led all players with 11 rebounds.
 
Tuhy is maintaining a double-double on the season with 11.5 ppg and 10.8 rpg; she leads the Eagles in rebounding and is second in scoring. In the nation, Tuhy is currently ranked 12th in the NCAA rebounding.
