Field Hockey Set to Host James Madison Sunday

WASHINGTON – The American University field hockey team will be back at home to host James Madison on Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m. at Jacobs Complex. The team will celebrate Youth Field Hockey Day, offering a free post-game clinic.

  • The Dukes opened the weekend with a 2-1 overtime win against Richmond on Friday evening (Sep. 5), with goals from juniors Julie Narleski and Skyler Brown. Narleski's game-tying goal came with less than two minutes remaining, and Brown's overtime goal was the fourth game-winner of her career. JMU limited Richmond to two shots in the final two periods.
  • JMU has had five scorers so far this season. Sophomore Madelief Molier leads the team with two goals, one against Villanova and one against Liberty.
