BOSTON – Juniors
Kaden Kluth and
Carver Morgan competed in the open mile at the IC4A Championships this morning at Boston University to finish the indoor track season. Kluth won the event in 4:03.54, while Morgan came in fifth in 4:07.59.
Both athletes have run AU top-five times in the mile this season. Kluth ran a school record of 4:00.60 at the Valentine Invitational (Feb. 14), while Morgan ran 4:06.37 for fourth all-time.
Coaches' Corner
"The guys raced hard today," said head coach
Sean Graham. "We were clearly hoping for a little faster race, but they represented very well, with Kaden getting the win and Carver pressing hard the second half to keep the sub-4 attempt a possibility.
"Coming off a big weekend last week at the Patriot League Championships to turn around and do it again is challenging. I'm oddly happy that we're a little disappointed with a 4:03 win. These guys will get a little break from racing the next few weeks as we prepare for kicking the outdoor season off at the end of March."
Next Up
The Eagles will shift gears toward the outdoor season, starting with the Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational on Mar. 21.
