WASHINGTON - The record-breaking streak continued for sophomore Lorelei Bangit this past week, and her efforts have earned her the title of Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the first time this year and fourth time in her career. Bangit was part of a small group of Eagles competing at the Raleigh Relays on March 28-29.

Bangit's time of 54.80 in the 400 meter on March 28 was a lifetime best and new AU record, placing her 12th in a field of 105 runners. One day later, she broke another one of her school records, running a PR of 24.54 in the 200 meter.

It was only the second weekend of the outdoor season for the Eagles, who will next complete at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason on April 4-5.
